iPad at Schiphol!

Woohoooo...you can already buy iPads at schiphol airport...for the cheap price of 800 euros...for 16gb...or 900 for 32gb...wifi, not 3G, obviously...
What a ripoff!

A few seconds of HATE!

The ashcloud wasn't the worst thing to happen to air-traffic in germany...
There is one known to be even worse, and that is - FOOTBALL FANS!!!

I wanted to fly to Norway to visit Silke who's there for work. It started all pretty funny, everywhere there were those Fulham fans in their KIA jerseys. It got even funnier, when the Hamburg S-Bahn sign at the Airport showed "FULHAM FANS=this train!"...no comment...
The fun started to stop quite soon...my plane was 1h delayed...so my transfer time in Schiphol decreased from 90min to 30min.
Wouldn't have been too bad...but since I am sitting in a stranded passenger hotel in Amsterdam, it didn't work out like that...

So, now the big question is why...was there some delay because of the ashcloud? Did someone kidnap a plane? Or anything serious?

NOOOO!!!

Airtraffic was dead cuz of the fucking football game...HAM closed done a complete landing strip to use it as a PARKING PLACE for the airtaxis that got the football fans here and back...

So, ALL the scheduled flights where delayed for up to 3.5h (my flight) just so the FUCKING fans could get home conveniently...

SOUNDS FUCKED UP, BUT IT's FUCKING TRUE!!!!

I HATE FOOTBALL!!!!

ARGGGHHHH!!!!!

The long way home...

Part I: Ejafuck...what?
It started all on April the 15th, on the nice island of Grand Bahama, we were listening to the news on ndr2 via livestream...there was something about some weird Icelandic volcano that erupted a few hours ago and was spitting ash into the air. We joked about Silke not getting to Norway the next Monday, because there might be some problem with the airspace...
Then we got into our rental car to bring it back to the agency and bring driven to te airport.

Part II: Eyjafjuklallalalu?
At the airport we got smarter...well, at least we asked whether there might be a chance for our flight to Amsterdam to be grounded/cancelled - "no, no, it's gonna fly!"...hence, we started our journey back to Hamburg. Funny thing on the side, if you fly from the Bahamas back to the states, you immigrate on the island...so, when you board the plane, you are already in the states. This will be quite important later on ;)
Nice flight from Freeport to Atlanta, no turbulences, nothing...once we gout out at Atlanta, the fun started...Amsterdam was cancelled...because of an ash cloud that was forming over Europe thanks to the volcano...funnily, of this time (2pm, 15/04) it was the only flight cancelled. We started trying to get some information...can we switch to another plane, maybe to Frankfurt whatever? When we got to the international terminal (after complete inability of all delta-desk agents at the other terminal to help us) the line for the "proper" desk was already fucking long...we were standing in line for like 4 hours...people to Frankfurt, Duesseldorf and Munich were allowed to go to their gates and leave...as time went on more and more planes were grounded.
When we finally got to the desk (which was another desk somewhere else they sent us) we got a nice standby flight to Frankfurt the next day and a confirmed flight home via Paris five days later...
We got a hotel and went to Ruby Tuesday to make the best out of the fucked up day...

Part III: Eyjafja...la...lo...ku?
Friday morning, first thing -> checking the live-ticker about news from the ash.
Aaaaand? Frankfurt was closed...no flight today...on the other hand, this also meant no standing in lines and waiting for not getting a seat on the standby flight.
So I booked us two new hotel rooms until Tuesday and we went to the airport to get our luggage back...
We didn't think it'll be easy to get it, big airport, many grounded flights...but it should be there on the next day...so, we thought...
First trip into Atlanta then, checking out the city and so on...not un-nice...went to the apple store, tried to buy an iPad...sold out, so we reserved two...
Some burgers, we had to exploit the nice US cuisine, and back to the airport to get our bags back...
And guess what, after 10h there wasn't even one suitcase, bag or whatever...fun...let's go home and get some sleep...

Part IV: Eyjafjälläjüköll...
For the next three days we went to the airport every morning and evening...and each morning there was a bag waiting for us...
Looking for flights didn't make any sense since the whole of European airspace was completely shut down...
Saturday, my duffel bag...sadly...no underwear for Silke or me...but, yeah, flip-flops and some dirty shirts...at least...down to H&M to get some underwear...and then some nice food and beers...
Sunday, this morning Sushi was allowed to go into the small storage and look whether one of our bags was already there...he came out with my seabag and nothing else...menage we got our whole luggage...Sushi and Nadine had nothing...didn't make me feel good...we used this day to check out the worlds biggest aquarium (nice otters!!! And cool large size fishes...and sea mammals) and the world of coca cola (shit, patriotic shit...but testing 64 varieties of coke was interesting)...afterwards...Hooters!!! Nice chicken wings, but it didn't live up to the expectations...food and boob wise...might be due to all four of us being there...wireless men were greeted nicely and shit ;)
Ah, that evening, we also got told that the flights to Frankfurt and Duesseldorf had to turn around in the middle of their routes, since the airports got magically closed in between...
Monday, finally Nadine's bag...Aaaaaand we got an email from the apple store that we could come and get our iPads!!! So, it was a good day, with some sushi and beers in the evening...also, there one flight going to Amsterdam and Paris again...two of both destinations were cancelled...but at least a chance...
Anxious to get back home...

Part V: Eyjafjallajökull (yeah, got it right!!!)
So, Tuesday morning...checkout of the hotel...and...no bag waiting for Sushi...fucked up shit...only retards working for delta and the baggage claim in Atlanta...
BUT: our flight really started!!! Okay flight until Paris...stupid little cunts sitting right behind Silke and me...always kicking our seats...I hope your next boyfriends fuck you in the ass in an unpleasant way, little French girls...
After we landed I got aggressive...which was only due to fucking Charles de Cock!!! The most fucked up airport ever!!!
And I learned something new...they ain't got toilet seats on the male toilets!!!! Just those fucking paper seats...and if you try to put three of them above each other, the fucking toilet flushes and takes them with you...hard time shitting...fucking Paris!

However, they really got us home...the Hamburg flight also flew! And we were really the first KLM / Air France / Delay flight to touch down in hamburg for six days...woooohoooo!
After we got home, we went out again for grocery shopping...I was never so happy to walk somewhere while it's hailing ;) Back in Hamburg!!!!
YEAH!!!

P.s. We slept 15h that night ;)

extended holiday...

still in atlanta...we changed the hotel (cheaper one, and two rooms ;), and settled with getting back on Tuesday...hopefully...it still does not seem like the ashcloud will be gone until then...
Today we also got our first piece of luggage back, more to follow today (or later...maybe...).

So we will make the best of our time, I tried to buy an iPad, sadly they were all gone yesterday, so I reserved one, maybe I'll get it before Tuesday ;) There is also a big aquarium here in Atlanta (the worlds largest, to be precise), I think we'll visit that...

So, wish me luck that we'll get back to Europe at least this week ;)

Lost in transit...

You guys probably have heard about the ashcloud...mist of you might have already seen ;)

I might not see it at all...we wanted to fly back from the Bahamas to Hamburg via Atlanta...well, Almost nothing is flying to Europe...we got rebooked and our next confirmed flight will be on Tuesday...however we will be on standby for a flight each day until we get one...

But things aren't so grim...the weather here is very good and we found a very nice hotel, where we got a cheap four bedroom suite ;)
And we are off to get some nice dinner :) meeeeaaaat!

Swimming with dolphins!!!

Usually I am way too chilled to post something around here, but today is a special occasion!
We were just out swimming/diving when we suddenly saw some fins in the water...at first there was some commotion whether that might be a shark, but when we saw that there were more than one and they were jumping it was quite obvious, that they were dolphins.

So we got back out and swam with them, they got pretty close and you could hear them all the time underwater. Sadly, no one touched one, but hey, WHATEVER ;)

Ah, I also swam with Marley our nice neighborhood cow-dog a few minutes earlier ;)

AIR France, Fuck YOU!!!...again...

As most of you might know, I am on holiday, currently in New York City, from Friday on on the Bahamas ;)
Just a few quick facts:
As you might recall - I hated AIR France after coming back from Frisco using their airline. This time I thought by going via a fancy new A380 everythings gonna be better...
Well, the pkane was nice, really nice, even in economy.
However, there was one serious problem (again): Ze FRENCH!!!
Fucking retards, even their pilots cannot speak proper english...you couldn't understand FUCK of what he was saying over the speakers...
Charles de Gaulle was a bloody mess again, and fucking stewardesses at check-in served french people waiting behind me in line before serving me!
FUCK!

However, now all is gonna be fine...well besides all the germans here in the hostel...

P.S. Worst turbulences ever today on the flight, people were puking around me...

I'm not obese anymore!!!

For everyone who I didn't bother with it yet: I'm on diet...
Silke started doing Weight Watchers again in January and forced me to eat the same low-fat / low-cal stuff as she did...
At first I was slightly reluctant...but after 2,3 weeks I realized that eating less and healthier really works ;) So I started to cut short on sweets, sugary stuff, beer, fat and calories (I still drink and eat a burgers...just less and not that often).
AAAAAND...I lost almost 10kg as of today, from ~105 kg to 95.5 kg (For Joe: way too many stones to still to many stones, but okayish)...This on the other hand means my BMI went below 30 (BMI is bullshit but still ;)

So, 10kg are lost, at least 10 more to go. Let's hope the holiday doesn't fuck up everything ;)

...deutsche Werbung...

Was kommt als naechstes?

Research in Chavism?

Nice thing at the supermarket today...I was standing at the checkout...looking around...and what did I see??? A really retarded Chav (auf deutsch - assi) with a bellybag, silver chain around his neck, shaved head...aaaaaand a sweater which had written "RESEARCH" above the chest;)

Research in what? Anatomy of bitches? Advanced head-shaving? Social exclusion of bellybag-wearers?

Sackgeld in der Schluckstube versaufen...

So, heute mal was lustiges fuer alle die deutsch sprechen (sorry my illiterate english friends, but this wont be funny for you ;)

Weit gefehlt, SM steht hier fuer Schweizer Meisterschaften (etwas komisch, ja...).

Was gabs sonst noch?

In 2,3h gehts zurueck ins eisige Hamburg...brrr....

italian music

Do you know the feeling if you are at an italian place, being completely annoyed be the fucked up italian music? Then suddenly you are completely happy because you know and like one of the songs, just to realize a second later that you just like the SCOOTER-remake?

No?

k...than I must be a weird guy...

Happy new ... whatever

Uuuuhhh...we got us a new decade...
Quite some stuff happened in the last one, I really wonder if the new will also bring so many new, interesting things.
Plans so far:
- getting some collaborations with SwissModel (going to Basel in two weeks)
- going to the Bahamas for holiday and meeting the sailors ;)
- going to Trondheim (Silke will be working there)

I think everyone realised by now, that I have nothing interesting to say, just drivelling...
So, let's close this new decades first post...
More blabla by the time something important happens...

Fuck.Brussels!

Got a little game for you today:
Imagine visiting the proposed capital of glorious Europe...wouldn't you expect a bunch if openminded, nice, helpful and friendly and to some extent clean-ish people?

I bet you would...

Now do the same though-experiment again, but change the bigger part of the citys inhabitants to idiots whose first language is gay French...
And yeah, there goes being openminded, nice, friendly and helpful...
No one speaks any English, people will just run into you on the street if you don't jump out of their way fast enough, oh, and some of them will get really angry and offended if you try to ask something nicely in English..
For example, the guy at the metrostation who is supposed to sell you tickets, because their fucking ticket machines never work, got really pissed off, when we did not understand his French mumbling...the retard did not get that holding two fingers up meant "we want two of your precious tickets!"... I think even cavemen would get that...

Some other nice fact about ticket machines...imagine a main train station in a big capital where the only way to pay for your train tickets at night is some indigenous bank card...no credit card, EC, maestro nothing...oh and imagine a pile of shit lying next to this machine...
E voilà! Welcome to Brussels!

Okay, there were also a few positive things:
- very good fries and fried meatballs
- awesome chocolate
- good electro music and a nice lightshow at the evening on grand places Xmas market (ever seen a church light up with electrotunes before?)

And everyone at the airport was nice and friendly, however I took some closer looks at their name tags...and none their names sounded French...all very flamish!

Let me end my few paragraphs of hate with this:
PEOPLE OF FLANDERN!
Get rid of Wallonia! Just give it to France ;) And ban French by law! Then you are welcome to host the European capital ;)

EDIT: Ha, the wallonian Steward was the same from my flight into Brussels, he rembered me and talked to me during the flight...
Maybe some if them are nice and friendly...hard to find, though ;)

TV HaCkS0R

YEAH!
Our new bedroom TV arrived yesterday...did some stupid browsing about how to change the channels...and what did I find???

There are ways to make this TV being able to play all kinds of movies via USB, usually only the €250 more expensive one is able to do that...
However, there is a a secret menu, where you can tell my TV that it is that more expensive one...now it thinks exactly that and plays fucking DIVX movies ;)

Tomorrow I will hack 127.0.0.1!!!!
