Turning 30 in a japanese bar...

Better late than never...

After only 4h of sleep the night from saturday to sunday, I nevertheless decided that I had to stay awake until 12 to celebrate my birthday that evening (a little persuasion by Ciaran and Charles also did its part).
So after a quick noodle dinner in a stall next to one of the rivers, we went to an english bar. Reasonable prices did their thing and after an hour I already had two pint-size Cuba Libres and was ready (and awake enough) to go on. Our next destination "Happy Cock" - obviously named after a very happy rooster...well, the 5 old japanese business men that went into the elevator up with us (but went to the brothel two floors below happy cock) got the joke (at least they pointed at their cocks in front of us, smiling...).
So, when we went into that bar, it was still quite empty...and we were the only gaijins (outsiders) in the whole thing. This made us a very interesting item in the bar...and even after it got really crowded EVERYONE wanted to talk to us...not being able to speak a word of english, strangely some of them knew german like "Dortmund" (yeah, yeah...soccer...boring) and "ich liebe dich" (but not the appropriate situation to say it)...
Even more people clustered around us when they realized that it was my birthday soon...this resulted in a lot of free drinks (by the japanese for me) and a lot of money spend for Charles and Ciaran (sorry guys). I even got a nice bottle of champagne at 12am and was pretty much celebrated like a rock star ;)
I even learned some quite important japanese words/phrases:
 - ookinai chinchin: large package/cock
 - opai: tits (ookinai opai is a rarely used phrase in japan)

This was the album cover on facebook for pictures taken that night...
Yes, we are "big in Japan"

Given the fact that it was Sunday and we had to start working on the course at 9am, we decided to leave around 2am and went to the next MosBurger to get some food into Ciaran ;)
On the way home I showed all people passing by how well my japanese was...As far as I remember everyone was very impressed (by me telling them I had a large cock).

Next morning was not too great...Always nice to start a workshop with a massive hangover ;)

I should maybe also add that they also have all-you-can-drink night on Fridays and Saturdays - everything (besides shots and champagne) for €30,- from 9pm to 5am...
For japanese people this might be a good thing...for us it inevitably leads trying to show them how much a real man really can drink...
You would have gotten about five to six drinks for that money...on the following Friday, I managed to drink that much in the first half hour...I stopped counting at 15 drinks and a second bottle of birthday chmapgne...my memory stops at 1am and started again the next morning (no idea how I made it to the hotel) with realizing that I puked into my shoes...Charles and Ciaran told me that I suddenly left at about 2am...either I realized I was completely shitfaced or they threw me out because they were afraid to run out of booze...anyways...
