...It's easy when you are big in Japan...

Hello again, time to write some stuff again ;)
As you all might know (if you read my posts regularly, which you SHOULD!!!) I am in Osaka, Japan right now. Taking part in a workshop about crystalography, as a teacher (sounds weird, I know).
Before I start writing/ranting, here is a link to the pics I have taken here:

Nice, aren't they? As you can see, there is shitloads of weird food to be eaten here, weird shops to check out and generally be freaked/flashed by all this japanese style of live and so on.

I know, that all looks pretty weird, somewhat disgusting even...but trust me, those squid-jerky things are awesome!!! Even that weird thing in between the sweets with has the squid on it is great ;) The japanese people seem to love tentacles, they eat them, they fry them, they dry them, they even put them into their hentais (managporn, where manga chicks get fucked by big aliens with even meaner tentacles...into all possible orifices). Maybe that some kinda compensation for other (real-life) tentacles that are not really what we'd call "big"...or "average"...or..."satisfying". Yeah I am still full of shit and prejudices ;)
Burgers with Terriyaki are also quite good, but they have no idea how to serve that stuff not burning hot.

Ah, and besides this weird food, everything in this country is pink and bubble-gummy...EVERYTHING!!! Look at those pics (and they have a serious gambling problem):

...even the toilets...but, they are heated ;)

Another awesome thing - animals become moviestars around here...there are shitloads of DVDs of cats/dogs who got viral on youtube...full length movies of their life!!!

The biggest star right now seems to be the cat MARU (movies: I am Maru, I am Maru 2, there will certainly be I am Maru and I can use a toilet)...Maru has great skills, he can hide in boxes...and he is rather fat...

P.S. All the languages about japanese people not speaking english are true...I sometimes feel like a deafmute ;)
